Hi! My name is Amanda and I am a younger parent of an 18 month old boy with disabilities. I am looking for other moms who have positive and supportive advice for my husband and I. I grew up with a handicapped brother and sister, but when it is your own child it is much harder. I look forward to talking to other parents!

Re: Introduction
Sat, March 10, 2007 - 10:40 AMHello, I've made a few posts now and I guess I will introduce myself. MY name is Patty and my son with AS is Matt and is 16 !!! What a ride this has been . I will tell you for all of you with younger children with AS or other disabilities , PLEASE think of your selves as blessed . There will be a time, such as mine, when now without provocation my son says "I love you , MOM. " that it will dawn on you that no other child would have made me realize that those are the three most important words in any language. Keep on fighting the good fight and Merry meet to all of you :) -
