Countdown

Hey there tribe community ... we are on countdown for heart surgery and I know that many of you know what this kind of anticipation is like, aurgh!
Ena is scheduled to go in on February 26th for her heart cath and the following day will have her surgery.
It is going to be tough, I know from past experience .. there is something so un-natural about having your child's chest opened, heart stopped and repaired, etc.
My main focus will be, as always, pain management.
I hope this goes smoothly. I have learned from a few years of working in the local hospital that patients who are kind get the best care, so although I will be fighting for her life, I also need stay cool, calm and collected.
Somehow we cope, thanks to pharmaceutical meds (I just started back on the Wellbutrin), good friends and faith.
So here we go ... wish us luck.
Thanks :)

Hey, check out her pic in the photo section.
We downloaded all of her favorite wild dance tunes, plus one country and western favorite of hers, by Carrie Underwood, 'Jesus, Take the Wheel".

I'm sending you tons of love and support. I'm on the count down for my daughter's surgery, so have an inkling of what the anticipation and stress is like, but nothing as nerve wracking as what you're experiencing. A wise woman once told me (gee, I think that was you) to believe in the best possible outcome. I do, for both our girls. Ena will be up and sassy again in no time. If you need to vent some of your fears, go ahead. That's why we're here.
